Bucher + Suter was founded in 1981 by Daniel Suter, Matthias Bucher and Hansruedi Scheidegger, and was originally focused on Robotics and Software Engineering.
In 1995, a majority of the shares were acquired by the Noser Management Group in order to give the company sufficient resources to position itself internationally. In 1995, Bucher + Suter developed its own contact center product line. In addition to marketing and maintaining its own products, b+s resells, implements and supports Cisco's Contact Center suite of products.
In 2000, Bucher + Suter AG set up a wholly owned but legally independent subsidiary in Heddesheim, in order to address the European Union. Business activities in Germany were started in 1999 by Bernd Schotten out of the Swiss headquarters. In 2003 the offices were moved to Heppenheim.
In 2004 and 2005, Softlink and its product TOMAS, were part of Bucher + Suter. With the acquisition of the Sigma Product offering from Sunrise TDC Switzerland (formerly Ascom Network Integration), this business line became so substantial that it was spun off to www.frox.com.
After 25 years as CEO, Daniel Suter passed company management responsibilities to Martin Wüthrich (COO) in February 2006. Daniel remains Chairman of the Board, but is no longer operationally involved in Bucher + Suter. In the Summer of 2006, Bucher + Suter AG set up a wholly owned but legally independent subsidiary in Ras Al Khamia in order to address the Middle Eastern region.
In May of 2007, Martin Wuethrich assumed the role of CEO and Andreas Stuber took over the subsidiary in Dubai, renaming it Expertflow. As an independent partner company of Bucher + Suter, Expertflow addresses the emerging markets in the Middle East and Africa.
In 2008, b+s Switzerland and b+s Germany merged. In order to expand into Turkey, b+s founded a subsidiary in Istanbul in the Spring of 2009.
Today Bucher + Suter remains 100% contact center focused. The company's mission is to be the leading provider of Cisco contact center solutions and services worldwide. As a rapidly growing company with employees across Europe and the US, we are achieving that vision.
