Do you enjoy building new and exciting integrations while working closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts in developing solutions? 

Focusing on Customer Experience, you will consult on and design systems integrations, 3rd party application integrations, AppExchange products, and custom code to enable our clients' award-winning contact centers.

You will help create processes and drive growth to empower pre-sales engagements using solution design architecture and R&D while working and implementing customer requirements. You will be integral to our engagements with clients from sales to support.

Principal Responsibilities

The Salesforce Consulting Engineer (SCE) is responsible for designing pre-sales solutions to create value utilizing b+s products and CRM software and services. You will represent the technical aspects of the art-of-the-possible as you consult to solve customer problems in the CRM. Supporting sales activities and taking direction from their sales Account Executive counterpart. 

The SCE provides situational expertise and leadership, including, but not limited to, technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, pre-sale customer consulting, standing up proof of concepts, scoping documentation, and recommendation on Bucher + Suter solutions.

What you'll do

  • Apply extensive knowledge and expertise exercising considerable latitude in determining technical and business objectives of our clients 
  • Provide situational expertise to relationships with key client contacts 
  • Conduct discovery session(s) to understand client business needs 
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support (including but not limited to, writing statements of work, building bill of materials, and budgetary quotations) 
  • Design and recommend solutions that meet the business needs identified in the discovery session 
  • Demonstrate solutions through various means, including product demonstrations, presentations, and various messaging / collateral 
  • Differentiate our solutions by integrating competitive information into presentations/discussions 
  • Differentiate our solutions by developing innovative approaches and integrations to partner technology 
  • Serve as a point of planning and execution coordination to bring outside partners and resources to the sales process as required 
  • Interact with senior client personnel on technical matters, often requiring coordination with groups across organizational lines 
  • Proactively assist Account Managers in developing winning sales tactics from a solution perspective through POCs, demos, and development. 
  • Serve as a technical liaison to the Solutions Design & Proposal pricing process owners 
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the technical field/industry or a profound understanding of certain areas of the application 
  • Develop/evolve product technical presentation slideware 
  • Deliver industry event exhibit content 
  • Champion customer ROI - help with customer case studies 

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Five years of directly related work experience
  • Combination of business analysis and technology implementation experience 
  • Experience working with business process and development teams to design, implement and deploy Salesforce.com applications to different clients at the enterprise level 
  • Salesforce.com certifications (Admin, Sales or Service Cloud Consultant) 
  • Understanding of key Salesforce CRM architectural concepts 
  • Understanding of telecommunications solutions, unified communications, contact center, and infrastructure is preferred 
  • Ability to work and deliver creatively and analytically in a dynamic environment to solve problems 
  • Strong solution selling skills with the ability to create and demonstrate value 
  • The ideal candidate has expert insight into the Customer Experience digital space and the contact center. They routinely utilize this data-based contextual understanding to make meaningful, relevant observations that they can effectively deliver to both the customer and the b+s team. 
  • Proficient with Salesforce Lightning Web Components, Apex, Lightning Components, VisualForce, SOQL, data tools (Data Loader, Excel Connector, DemandTools, Eclipse Force.com IDE), architecture and API framework 
  • Proficiency in HTML, XML, JavaScript, ASP, SQL, Java or C++, SOAP-based web services 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Excellent presentation and demonstration skills 
  • A collaborative working style to interface effectively across the organization and with prospective clients is a must
